Family House Resident
Programs Basic Needs Program The most important thing that Family House provides its residents with is basic needs caring. When a family comes to Family House, they can be assured that they will receive a safe place to stay for up to 90 days, 3 meals per day and snacks, as well as seasonal clothing. After their stay with Family House, families receive 2 full boxes of food to stock their kitchens with as well as other donated household items to help furnish their homes. Case Management Upon arrival to Family House, residents are assigned a personal Case Manager who they can work with to develop a personalized plan that identifies the specific needs of the family. With weekly follow ups to monitor progress, the Case Manager can help the family set goals for themselves and refer them to community resources where they can find adequate housing, work, and crisis intervention, if necessary. In addition to the Case Manager assignment and Basic Needs care for residents, Family House also provides residents with age-based programs led by qualified instructors that promote personal development in the following areas:
Health Education Program The health of our residents is important to us. That’s why we offer our residents health assessments, health education, and referrals to health resources in the local community. Children’s Education Parents work with a school liaison to enroll children in area schools or arrange transportation to home schools. After-Care Program (Picket Fences) Qualified former residents who move into permanent housing receive financial housing assistance and 12 months of follow up programming and support.
